COVID-19 UPDATE: Due to the economic fallout of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are forced to make some operational changes. Over the next month, POET biorefineries in Chancellor, South Dakota and Ashton and Coon Rapids, Iowa will temporarily idle production. In addition, the biorefinery in Shelbyville, Indiana will be delaying the startup of production.

POET has faced difficult times in the past and we have proven our resiliency. We value the partnership and relationship we have with all of our producers and look forward to getting back to normal operations. POET Biorefining - Lake Crystal, Minnesota, consumes approximately 20 million bushels of locally-grown corn and produces 56 million gallons of ethanol annually. POET Biorefining - Lake Crystal is the 21st ethanol plant built by POET Design & Construction, who began building ethanol plants in the 1980s.
