COVID-19 UPDATE: Due to the economic fallout of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are forced to make some operational changes. Over the next month, POET biorefineries in Chancellor, South Dakota and Ashton and Coon Rapids, Iowa will temporarily idle production. In addition, the biorefinery in Shelbyville, Indiana will be delaying the startup of production.

POET has faced difficult times in the past and we have proven our resiliency. We value the partnership and relationship we have with all of our producers and look forward to getting back to normal operations. POET Biorefining, located in Preston, MN, is producing 46 million gallons of ethanol annually. It was built by POET, who began building ethanol plants in the 1980s.

POET Biorefining - Preston is proud to be involved in value-added agriculture in the state of Minnesota and proud to be helping our country achieve energy independence. The plant also provides about 40 good paying jobs for the local area in addition to creating an annual economic impact worth millions of dollars.
